About
Interdisciplinary work between BCBAs and OTs can be challenging when we use different terminology to describe the same client needs. This training will provide a practical framework for “translating” between occupational therapy and behavior-analytic language in order to improve collaboration, documentation, and clinical outcomes. Participants will learn how to reframe common OT terms into behavior-analytic wording (and vice versa), apply quick “translation scripts” for progress notes and clinical communication, and identify ways to build shared understanding across disciplines. By developing a common language, BCBAs can strengthen their interdisciplinary partnerships while maintaining conceptual consistency within the science of behavior analysis.
