About
1 BACB® ETH, 1 BACB® SUP Creating an effective video model is both an art and a science. In this collaborative workshop, an occupational therapist and BCBA walk participants through the essential steps of designing, filming, and adapting video models that truly meet the needs of diverse learners. Whether the goal is supporting motor planning, daily living skills, regulation, communication, or classroom participation, this course breaks down how to build accessible, strengths-based models from start to finish. Participants will learn how to identify the right type of model, structure the content, incorporate task analysis, embed naturalistic supports, and make adaptations for sensory, cognitive, or language differences. Through OT + ABA examples and hands-on guidance, clinicians will leave equipped to create personalized video models that promote independence, engagement, and generalization across settings. This workshop is ideal for BCBAs, OTs, SLPs, RBTs, educators, and anyone interested in producing clear, supportive, neurodiversity-affirming instructional videos for real-world use.
